DAY FIVE: Grand Cayman
Cayman was absolutely gorgeous! We started the day off nice and early with the beautiful sunrise over the island. Nice and early...there the sun rises before 6 am. Notice the sleepy eyes.
After the sunrise, we visited the omelet station. The guy there is quite talented. I was and still am jealous of his mad omelet skills. He put on a show and I was in AWE every morning!
Our excursions for the day...dolphin encounter and stingray city. This was possibly the highlight of the trip!
We had some time before our excursion to do some touristy shopping
My hubby trying to be tough
These beautiful birds were on the path to the dolphin encounter.
And this one was stubborn...he really didn't want his picture taken.
Dolphin Cove
Ev and I were able to get in the water with *NEMO*. Which I was a little worried about, but it ended up being FANTASTIC. We touched, danced, and kissed this cute dolphin. Isn't he cute? He liked me...just ask Ev. Next time, I think we'll upgrade and actually swim with them. Maybe I can even request Nemo.
As we were leaving to board the boat, Nemo came and said goodbye to me! Tender.
Our group heading to Stingray City
Me sporting my wristband...a little nervous at this point.
Then we arrived and I saw the size of the stingrays and I [sort of] freaked out...well...not really....but several women in the water were. I couldn't help but laugh. Little did I know, I would be doing the same thing in a matter of minutes.
And I am happy to say that I freaked out 3 times. I screamed as they came near me. I jumped up on Ev's back. I even pushed some girl out of my way that I didn't even know...I was so caught up in the stingray coming my way, I failed to notice how rude I was behaving. But then one of the tour guides placed one on my back and it calmed my nerves. Strange. But amazing. The stingrays were huge!!! I thought they were the size of a basketball, boy was I wrong.
Beautiful water! Ah. Love the color.
More shopping...hanging with pirates...and birds (which tried to bite my ear off and screamed at the same time!)
And once on the ship, we headed to dinner at the Monet with our favorite waiters Rex and Made (which you'll meet on day 6). They sure put on quite the show with their awesome dancing skills.
And to top off the night...my favorite part...sheets turned down, mints on pillow and a fun towel animal.
A perfect towel creation for the day too...a stingray!
