The Amazing Digi Scrapping Race (ADSR)

I thought I would post about this for fun...it's also the reason I haven't been blogging too much. I decided back in January that I would participate in the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race. I really wanted to do it...and my friend Sarah contacted me and asked if I wanted a partner! My prayers were answered (hehe). I gladly accepted. Crystal and I our the "Southern Scrappers" team. The race started on Feb. 24. It goes for 6 weeks (I think). Each week there are two challenges. One is posted on Sunday and another on Tuesday. Both of those challenges are then due by the following Sunday. For each challenge you complete you are given a prize. That is always a plus!!! Love that part. In the end...there is a grand prize drawing. So far the race has been super fun! It's an adventure and very thrilling! All of my challenge layouts are posted on my scrap blog. Peek A Boo LO

Ok...well I guess one layout a week isn't too bad. I would like to get more done...it just seems like there is not enough time during a day to do everything I want. Ev had a test today and lucky for me...he was done at 11:30 am!!!! We went and celebrated the fact that the test was done with at McAlisters Deli. Afterward both the boys took naps. I took advantage of my free time...here's what I got done! I love days like today!!! Ahh...BLISS.

Yep another layout! I am so excited....although it didn't take much effort. I just adjusted the Mr. Elephant LO. I thought it would be fun to start doing matching pages (at least somewhat). It's so fun to go back a scrap Brampton's baby pictures. I can't believe how much he has changed! I can hardly believe that this picture is of him....it's almost like I forgot what he was like as a baby. He's no longer my little baby that's for sure!! I guess it's a good thing I'm having another....hehehe.

Super excited...a new LO!

Any of you who read this blog daily know that I have really been trying (maybe wanting would be better) to get back into digi-scrapping. This pregnancy has pretty much thrown my habit of doing one daily out the window! But...I am hoping to be all caught up by May! Cross your fingers. It was a little rough getting back into it b/c I have kind of lost "my touch". I felt like I was just getting to like "my style" and then...everything stopped. So for this one...I just scrap lifted (copied) Sarah's Baby Feet LO. I thought it was super cute! I love all the squares that border the picture. Sarah is by far one of the most talented digi scrappers I know. You'll have to check her stuff out...she has great LO's for inspiration. Be checking back for more to come....

Brampton has this elephant that he has slept with since he was a few weeks old. It is absolutely his favorite. He loves going to bed as long as he has him in his arms! It is so funny. He won't even put up a fuss. Let's just say that I am truly grateful for this stuffed animal. He loves this elephant so much that he will hold up his trunk and kiss it! It's cute. So this page is dedicated to the love of his life!

Meeting My Baby LO

I scraplifted this from Sarah's Meeting Mommy LO. I thought it was a super cute idea. I wanted to write some of these memories before I forget all the cute details. This was perfect. I think I am also going to do one with Evan and have him write what he remembers. Fun. Thanks Sarah. For all of you...no I did not just have a baby. These are pics from May 2, 2006 when Brampton was born. Ignore the fact that my face is incredibly swollen. Don't you just love that? Oh man, the stuff we go through as women to have babies!

Rice Cereal Layout

It doesn't come with everything you see on this layout but the papers and stars come with it and a few other goodies! I thought it would be perfect to scrap Brampton's stuff! Cougar Football

I figured since it is football season that I should scrap these! Actually, I saw a layout by someone else...and I had to scrap mine too! These pictures are from a year ago. Evan and I went to a football game against TCU in Ft. Worth. We were so excited! We really miss BYU and of course FOOTBALL season!!! I am not so sure about this template though. It seems a little funny. I guess I should have something big that says BYU...but I don't have anything and I didn't feel like getting creative. That's what I get for doing this late at night. Let me know what you think...should I revise it??

Saucer Time Layout

I put this together while Brampton was taking a nap this morning. Although, I really should have taken a nap with him. Oh well...I just couldn't resist and I haven't scrapped since Friday!! These pictures are from August 2006...can you believe that he was only 3 1/2 months?? Wow...what a little dude. I forgot what it was like to have a little baby! Funny how that happens.

So I am still going back and scrapping old pictures that I never did! These are from August 2005...when we found out we were pregnant! So fun...brings back great memories.

Well it's a happy day for several reasons:

-It always feels good to get a new page done! And I really like it.

-It's Friday!

-Brampton and I got out of the house thanks to our friends-Cassidy and Carter-we had a lot of fun!!!

-The little dude actually took 2 naps today....nice.

-We have one nice long weekend.

-Evan successfully finished his first week of medical school! Yay. I love my little student.

-Brampton started to use sign language and also gave me a hug.

-I am proud to say that I taught him how to drink out of a straw this morning.

-Tomorrow is September 1st! Yay...23 days 'til my birthday.

-I get to stay up late with my hubby and just relax!!!

Finally an LO!!

Yay! An LO...I have actually been having a really hard time coming up with a new layout. I have been trying for days now and I just can't get into the "scrapping groove". I really hate when that happens! Here's the latest layout....hopefully I'll be able to get some more done soon!

A new layout and a surprise!!

I found this really great quote that I wanted to use with some of my pregnancy pictures. So I quickly got to work on it. I am still not sure if I like the way it turned out. It just looks a little funny to me. I am not sure what is going on...all of my latest LO's just aren't my favorites. I guess I am just getting tired of my same old stuff. Speaking of surprises....I am so excited!!!!! My friend Sarah sent me a GC to Christina Renee Designs. Yay!!! I can't wait to purchase something!! It's always fun to have new things to experiment with (I'll let you all know what I get). THANKS SARAH.

Ferry LO

Last week we thought it would be fun to go and ride the ferry. It sure was a trip! Actually it was just really hot!!! The ferry goes from the Galveston Island to the Bolivar Peninsula (about 2 1/2 miles). Brampton was really hot, but still really curious about everything going on around him. He sure had fun grunting at all the birds that would fly by. Here's the layout I did with the pictures. I am still not sure about it though. I think it looks pretty tacky. I finally just gave up on it after spending way too long on it. I am sure you scrappers know how that goes. Give me some feedback on what I could do to make it look better.

Well...here is the matching page. These are my first LO's that look exactly alike. It was really easy to do the 2nd page b/c all I had to do was add the pictures and adjust the titles and stuff. But...the paper on the top doesn't match up exactly. Oh well.

A Beach Layout

Here's today's page. I really wanted to do a layout of these pictures b/c they're so fun. But I am not really sure about the page or the title. I am for sure going to do another page of this same day at the beach to match it. So the "playing" title will be finished on the next page. I guess I can always change it. I really like this template by Britt-ish designs. Super fun.

Finally...a chance to scrap!

So with the move and everything that goes along with that, I have not been able to do any digi-scrapping. I really did miss it though! Pretty pathetic (this is my favorite hobby). I was so excited when I finally was able to get to work (I was a little afraid that I had forgotten how). I completed this page today. It's pretty busy...I kind of like that look though. The pictures are from our trip to Galveston in March 2007. I am not really sure about the pink font color. Do you think it should be a different color?

New LO

Well...my friend Sarah Ebbert has great layouts! I am sure you have noticed that the past two LO's I've done were scraplifts from hers. Thanks Sarah! You have awesome ideas. Anyway, this isn't completely like hers...I modified it a little bit. I finally completed this...I have been working on this LO for weeks now trying to get it just right. I am not sure about the text over the picture though. I think it might be a little much...what do you think?? Does it take away from the page??
