I thought I would share these pictures of our "home". We boarded up the lower windows before we left and the owners came later Thursday afternoon to board up the rest. I guess the others are a little tricky. So I am a little relieved to know that all the windows are covered. Don't you love the pics. The owners made it through hurricane Rita and are hoping the home will make it through Ike. I do too!I'm still a little worried about the flooding and all the damage it will cause to our belongings. I hate to say this, but Ev and I never got renters insurance. We could really shoot ourselves in the foot right now. We don't know how bad it is going to be when we return. Not sure when we'll return. Just hoping for the best. I have to make a shout out to my kitchen table and chairs...couches...beautiful black and white chair...computer desk...entertainment center...washer and dryer...black sofa table...and stuff under the stairs. I am so sorry that we didn't move you upstairs. Evan was in such a hurry to get out and told me not to worry. I could kick him. Please don't be ruined. I have no money to replace you.

I'm so glad to see that they were able to board up the rest of the windows. We are praying for you guys and your belongings.
Sorry, this is Lacey by the way. I'm on Josh's computer so it's under his name. Roger? Yay, I have no idea. That's how he has it when he comments on his families blog. He's a crazy kid.
Oh, Steph, I'm sick thinking about all our friends in Galveston! We've got the Grantham's here with us and have been watching storm coverage 24/7. There are lots of prayers in Belton/Temple on your behalf.
If all your furniture is ruined I'll donate money to you for new stuff. After all this you would definitely deserve it!
And I'm really glad the upper windows we're boarded up, I was thinking about those and worrying.
I have been thinking about you so much. I hope everything is okay when you go back!
We don't have renters insurance either. ha. Stupid hurricane. I'm so bugged at not knowing when we can go home. DAH!
