"Mothers have a sacred role. They are partners with God, as well as with their own husbands, first in giving birth to the Lord’s spirit children and then in rearing those children so they will serve the Lord and keep his commandments. Could there be a more sacred trust than to be a trustee for honorable, well-born, well-developed children? We affirm the Church’s strong, unalterable stand against innovations or any unchastity or breaking of the laws that could possibly reflect in the lives of the children. Motherhood is a holy calling, a sacred dedication for carrying out the Lord’s work, a consecration and devotion to the rearing and fostering, the nurturing of body, mind, and spirit of those who kept their first estate and who came to this earth for their second estate to learn and be tested and to work toward godhood." (Spencer W. Kimball)
Now let me just say that I truly love being a mother! It's the greatest job in the world. It's not easy, but it's oh so rewarding. Heavenly Father truly has blessed my life by allowing me to bring children into this world. I will forever be grateful. I have been having a real hard time lately. I feel like my patience is really being tried. At times I wonder if I am really a good mother to and for Brampton. But I love how when I feel at my lowest point Brampton seems to sense it. He always gives me a big squeeze around my neck and squeals. Of course I even get some kisses. He is so sensitive to the Spirit (at least I think). I know that he has answered many of my prayers through his little doings (even though they are so simple). He's one of my little angels here on earth.
Here's a picture of something I love...finding the cute little things that Brampton does. Here he lined up some of his cars. Not sure why??? I often wish I knew what he was thinking and his reasonings. So cute I had to take a picture to remember. Yes, I'm trying to live in the moment.

How sweet, Steph! I know how you feel about being impatient with kids. . . trust me, it is just cause you are 8 months pregnant! It will get better! ;) (At least, that is what I am hoping!) I loved having a second baby. That was SOOO fun!!! The three of us just loved being all together and Kamber was such a good baby. HOpefully this one will be for you. (And mine too!) And I agree about conference. I needed to hear just what they had to say. . . some things to work on, but also reassurance that what we are doing is so important!
I noticed the prayer too!! I thought it was so sweet to acknowledge mothers - i believe we need as much help as we can get!! And yes, the talk was amazing. In fact I listened to it again last night...it was such good counsel! I'm glad you agreed! When is your baby due?
Kristi
You said everything I would have said about conference. I love Elder Ballard anyway, and he just earned a few bonus points for rejuvenating me! I have a quote that you've inspired me to post. You'll have to tell me what you think. Well, you might have to wait until your boy(s) are a little bigger. :-)
Hey Stephanie. I saw your blog through Codees and wanted to say Howdy. I do get updates from Annette but its nice to see the pics. And I totally agree with everything you said. Good luck with the new little addition that is when he comes.
It just makes me smile when I read how much you love being a mother!!!You have got your priorities straight, girl!!! And what a darling mother you are. Brampton is one lucky guy!!! Good luck as you come down to the final stretch. (pardon the pun) :) xxoo
Loved the Motherhood quote. I wish I would have been so insightful when I was your age. You are such a wonderful mother.
