We talked with Ev's mom tonight and she informed us that President Hinckley (15th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) passed away tonight at 7pm. He was surrounded by his family. I am sure going to miss him! He was such a great man. He is truly dear to my heart. I had the great privilege of hearing President Hinckley speak in person many times! My favorites were while I was at BYU and he came to speak at devotionals. The Spirit was so powerful! I had the great opportunity, while Ev and I were dating, to wake up super early and wait in line (with Ev) to get into the Marriott Center there at BYU (Pres. Hinckley was the speaker). I will always remember that experience and never forget the feelings I had as I listened to him speak. His life was truly devoted to the Savior. Because of the Gospel, I know that he is now in a better place and united once again with the love of his life-Marjorie Pay Hinckley!
