Brampton has never had a problem sleeping in his crib. In fact, he loved going to bed and would never put up a fight. That all came to an end when we returned from our Christmas vacation. While we were away from home and in unfamiliar places, he would usually wake up and come into bed with us. He was really spoiled! So you can understand why he was ready for his big boy bed. We tried putting him in his crib several times...he would always wake up in the worst mood. I think he just didn't like being trapped. Now...thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Stout...he has his own bed! The first night I was really worried...I guess I was afraid he would fall out. This past week has been great! Both Evan and I have been able to get a good nights rest all week long! One morning he slept until 10 am!!! Wow. That is not like him at all. We've come to realize that he loves his new bed! He is truly growing up right before my eyes! I have to admit...it is a little weird to have him come wake me up (usually he'll come and snuggle with me for a little while in our bed...it's great)!!!
hahaha...I was so use to having to go get him out of his crib. This is one fun new experience.

He looks so cute!!! I remember putting Kathryn in a big bed and she seemed so small. I'm glad he likes it!
too cute! love the new bed. it's adorable.
Big boy beds are sad because they are not your little baby anymore! I didn't like jay waking me up in the morning by poking out my eye sockets, so we opened his door and put a gate up. Now that he is bigger he comes in nicely and snuggles with me. ( which I love too.)
Looks like great fun for him.
It was tough for us to move Travis to a big boy bed. He made the most of his freedom and would explore his room long after we put him down. We used child door knobs to prevent him from leaving his room. Now it's much better. Thankgoodness Brampton does realize the freedom he now has (maybe he does). Do you stay with him at night till he falls asleep or let him put himself to sleep?
