Some nasty crusty crusts.

So remember how Brampton started kindergarten this year?? Oh wait...of course you don't! Slacker me...I have yet to blog about that. Well he did and he LOVES it. No surprise there. He loves to learn. Anyways...
...so this nasty picture. Yes...it is nasty and to think that this is my son! Brampton. Poor kid. He came home from school last Wednesday with a fever (which has spread like wild fire to the rest of us). And then up popped this rash. I immediately thought it was the chicken pox, but Evan seems to think that it's hand, foot and mouth disease or impetigo. Lovely. Now, remember that Brampton has asthma, eczema, peanut allergies, all kinds of allergies for that matter and is unable to get a flu shot b/c of these allergies. Needless to say...his immune system is slightly weak. Which means that this kid comes home with everything....spreading it to the rest of my little ones. And by the time we all get better....we start all over again! kindergarten has been a scary one for me....you know with all the nasty germs that kids share...the thought of it keeps me up at night and gets my ocd all in a tizzy. So let me make a shout out to all you moms....TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO WASH THEIR HANDS...OFTEN!!
My poor kid is really self conscious about it. He keeps asking if we can clean the crusty crust off his chin. Before school today he said he couldn't go because of his bad rash. And after picking him up from school today, I asked him if anyone asked him about his face (just curious if he was teased), he said they asked what happened to him. His reply..."my skin is falling off".

Lovely school germs. One of my kids got foot and mouth and one even got lice in kindergarten. Just think, if they didn't get this stuff, you would miss out on an educational experience. :) I know it is a challenge with Brampton's immune situation, but at least he is checking off the nasty stuff right away and should be faring quite well for the rest of his school career.

Poor kiddo. I couldn't help but comment based on the health issues you mentioned he was having along with hand foot & mouth ... in the allergies, ezcema, etc. My 16 mo. old has pretty bad ezcema as a baby and we've treated his system naturally to heal his gut and immune system so his whole system could heal. I'm amazed at the results. And my 5 yo. has food allergies and other allergies and we're in the process of treating him naturally and again have had amazing results. If you're interested in what we're doing, let me know (eagorg at gmail dot com). No pressure. I'm just happy to know my wee one seems to be healed and we don't have to use steroids and lotions anymore. Yay! Good luck over there!
