Tonight we ate dinner as a family. Afterward, Ev went out to help some friends move. And for some reason, life just feels...i hate to say it... [perfect]. My husband was out serving and I, being a mom, was busy bathing, dressing and reading to my boys. Does life ever get you SO busy that you just don't have time to do the small things (or want to)?? Sometimes, we put the boys to bed without stories or without a bath and it bothers me!! I don't like not having a routine. But tonight was normal. I gave them a bath...lotioned them up...clipped all their fingernails...cleaned their ears...combed their hair and brushed their teeth (for over a minute)! Ahh...I love knowing that my children have been taken care of and that they are going to bed clean. It's a wonderful feeling. And then I read them three stories...Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, On the Moon and The Giving Tree. I hope it filled their minds with all sorts of questions and thoughts to ponder on as they fell asleep. And as we always do, we knelt in prayer to the Father of all. It's precious to hear my boys pray. I love it. And then my favorite part...I sang to them some of our favorite lullaby's and watched their little eyes start to close. There is nothing better than this!! Seriously. I am grateful for routine and making time for the ones that are most precious to me. And I must give a shout out to the best photographer.

CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM is my FAVORITE BOOK! I have it basically memorized. I hope we can read (or think) it together in a few weeks. I am so excited to be around you again! I've been so discouraged lately and I hope Cali can be a good break.
