Giving thanks...

...for family that's close by!!
We took off Wednesday afternoon to head to Fort Worth to be with Nana and Papa Stout. The drive was all too exciting...we listened to Christmas music...talked about our Black Friday plans...enjoyed some quality family time....stopped in at McD's for din (where they had Christmas tunes playing). Oh and I even worked on our Christmas card too! I loved every minute of our 7 hour drive!!
And just like most everyone else....I somehow "forgot" to take pictures to capture our turkey day. But I did snap a few. Mostly of the kids being kids. Brampton LOVES his cousins. In fact he can't stop talking about them and how he wants to see them again. Not to worry Brampton...only a couple more weeks.
And these are the only pictures I took.... Caleb
Sierra
Zac
Cousin slumber party! And a special Christmas story by Nana.
The kids looking for bugs.
Caleb and the praying mantis (found by zac)!
And while the older kids were out looking for bugs and such, Cardston was inside with his new girlfriend! He couldn't keep his hands off of her...literally!!!
And he made friends with Uncle Steve...his new favorite person. This little boy LOVES to be tickled!
The food was delicious (eww...I wish I had a picture of the yummy sweet potatoes ev's mom made...my mouth is watering...they were like cinnamon rolls!)...the company was great...lots of memories were created...and laughter was all around. And for a moment, we had a taste of what's to come......CHRISTMAS.
Thank you nana and papa for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

OH MAN, this post makes me so excited for Christmas. We can't wait to get there, only four more days of classes, then a week of finals and A 20 HOUR DRIVE ahead of us!
