one big {collage}

Last night I felt FANTASTIC! And I think it might have something to do with this bad boy. It's done! Yay. Am I really saying that? It's completely done. All the pieces have been sitting on my craft table for a month now. I just couldn't bring myself to figure it out. And then I realized, it was the stinkin' WHITE lazy susan that was driving me CRAZY. So I spray painted it BLACK and got to work. I am in love with this thingy-ma-bob. In fact, I could stare at it all day along. Now, I can take no credit for this (except for my HARD work)...it's my grandmother's. She's the creative one. Ever since I saw hers, I knew that I wanted to make one for my children. And speaking of the littles...they L.O.V.E this. It's become the new "Christmas I spy".
I think the Nativity is my favorite part...well...that and the polka dot ribbon!!!And to top it off, an angel along with a little baby Jesus.
I'm hoping that this will be a Christmas decoration that will be thoroughly enjoyed throughout the years!

**Now if you are interested in doing something like this, I would suggest shopping for your ornaments after Christmas as they are all marked down. I purchased mine last year when they were marked down 75-90% off. I also found the blocks in the dollar bins at Target. But you can also find cheap blocks at Ross/Marshalls. I found it was helpful to have multiple different sizes. Also, take advantage of the SWEET coupons you can receive via email from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and JoAnns. Now I am no pro, but if you have any questions, ask.

Ahhh, that is so cool! I hope you do have it throughout the years, so I can look at it when I need to figure it out.

That is so cool Steph. (this is halie's sister by the way. Don't worry, i blog stalk you too) :) Your family is so cute and so creative. I love all the crafts you do and wish i had time to do them too! And yes, my cousins do go to olathe south. I heard there is a little rivalry between south and east. (maybe?) anyway, feel free to blog stalk me anytime. I love seeing your fun family pictures. And it helps to know who halie and kendall are talking about when they say "ev and steph". :)

So cute ... you are just so crafty! I think if I tried to put something like this together i'd get too frustrated and never end up finishing!
