Aunt Carla, Aunt Lahna, and my mom
Thanks to my wonderful husband and fabulous mother-in-law, I was able to drop everything to attend my grandmother's funeral and see all of my family. I flew out to Denver, Colorado and then drove with my sister, Lacey, and her to girls up to Boise, Idaho. We arrived late Wednesday night and were there before most of our family came in which meant we were able to watch these three ladies (my grandmother's 3 daughters) get all the funeral arrangements put together...which is NO easy task. They did such a great job during a difficult time. I loved sitting around my Aunt Lahna's kitchen table while listening to them share family stories, memories and pictures.

The viewing and funeral were both so beautiful. I was so grateful to have been there and to see it all take place. I know that my grandmother's spirit was in attendance. I felt her near. I am grateful to have been able to give her one last hug and goodbye here on earth. She lived an amazing life and raised a GREAT family. Some of her last words that she shared with my brother Michael was that she was very proud of all of her grandchildren. I hope that I can follow in my grandmother's footsteps in raising a family, honoring my covenants, and working hard in all things.

Even though it was a sad time, it was very fun to be with family. And we did enjoy ourselves...as always!

And on the way home, we had some car problems (just our luck)....but it did allow me to pay my other grandparents a visit! I love them. They are amazing...healthy and more in love than ever!
