The grossest thing happened today...
I noticed Cardston was chomping on something while playing on the floor. Nothing new, he picks up everything and eats it! He's my new vacuum. Anyways, he had a spider leg on his lip and one on his hand! He had eaten the spider I had just killed and had yet to pick up. This kid is too quick for me. GROSS! I was so disgusted. I tried getting it out with my finger (which is HUGE if you know me...I hate them), but was too late. The thought of it made me sick and I can't even imagine the taste/texture. It makes me nauseous thinking about it. To make matters worse (for me), the spider was no itsy bitsy thing! It was about the size of a quarter if not larger (including it's legs). Poor Cardston. I'm so sorry baby.
***Now I know how my mother felt when she would find me with a mouthful of rollie pollies!

oh man!! If it makes you feel any better: my professor, Kristen, at school was telling me that one time her daughter, Chloe (who was like a year old at the time) was messing around behind a bookshelf. Kristen finally was like, "Chloe, what are you doing? Quit messing around back there!" Chloe turned around to look at her mother and a giant cockroach leg was sticking out of her mouth!! She had eaten one of those giant roaches.
Note for those not living on the Gulf coast: these cockroaches are EVERYWHERE. My professors home isn't dirty!
Kristin
Oh my goodness!! Have Tamara tell you the story of Ava and the cockroach at aerobics!!
OH MAN!! I don't think I could've even put my finger in my kids mouth to get it out! Aghh. It's funny Briana mentioned Ava and the cockroach. I was going to tell you the same thing. I wish you could have Jana tell you. Jana's version is hilarious.
I forgot to mention that one time when Carter was way little he totally picked up old yucky gum off the cement at a ball game and ate it. *shudder* If it were a bug. . . . I seriously would be spazzing
Oh Steph that gave me the shivers when I read this...yuck! It's a good thing we don't remember the stuff that happens to us as a baby isn't it?
Gross! that almost makes me want to throw up!
That made me shiver just thinking about it. Yuck! I feel so bad for him, I can't imagine what you must have felt. I think I would die and throw up in my mouth if I had seen that. You know me and my fear of spiders. I wonder if I would have even tried to get it out like you did. That's just nasty!
I'm so sorry Cardston!
YUCK!!!! They joys of babies. I would have barfed. I hate spiders too!
Oh Stephanie!!!!! YUCK!!! Kids have no filter of what's gross or not when they are that age! I thought Lily had topped it by eating a huge Texas Cock Roach when we lived there, but I don't know what is worse, a big spider or cock roach!!! EEEWWWW So gross. Kids are so silly!
LOL!! sorry, but this story reminded me of when i would come over and there would be squashed spiders and silverfish (those are the worst!) up on the ceiling that I'm pretty sure you guys would make your mom kill them!
