Wash your hands and cover your mouth!

I don't hate too many things...something I can't stand is when my kids get sick. I was able to get a flu shot for both Cardston and I. Brampton, on the other hand, is allergic to eggs and is unable to get flu shots. Lucky for us, both boys have the flu.
Brampton came down with it on Sunday as we were driving home from Fort Worth. He continued to barf all that night. I thought he had made full recovery until tonight. I am so tired of cleaning up barf. I find that I get everything cleaned and sanitized only to find that Cardston is spitting up...projectile (and it's a lot)! Tonight it started with Brampton...minutes later Cardston...and then once again Brampton.
I am sick of it. I have done about 10 loads of laundry today and have changed my clothes and my boys at least 2-3 times. Enough already. I just feel like not ever leaving the house again. I'm germaphobic. I seriously hate hearing people cough and hack in public. It gives me the heebie geebies. I wash my hands (and my kids) often and carry Purell and wipes with me everywhere. I just don't like being sick and passing things around.
What happened to staying at home when your sick? Please...if your reading this...wash your hands often and try to not spread the flu around (if not for me...do it for the many moms out there that have kids). Life is rough enough...but much worse when you have sick kids.
***My question...what do all you moms use to clean up throw-up?

Oh man, sorry Stephanie. I'm the same way and getting worse about the germ thing. I just bought some more hand sanitizer tonight. I feel dirty every time I touch a cart!!! Ewwww, so gross!

As for cleaning up, we have a carpet cleaner vacuum thing for the floors and use a ton of clorox wipes and lysol spray! After cleaning carpet I spray it with Lysol and then again the next day. Good luck and get better soon!!

Oh I hear you! I'm so sick of us all being sick that I don't want to leave or go anywhere or socialize. I'm too tired and my poor children can't handle any more sickness.

I hope your family gets better soon. I agree completely about people being more considerate of others and staying home when they're sick. I am getting more paranoid of germs the more kids I have. They put everything in their mouths and can't leave their faces alone. And if one gets it, so do the rest. I am starting to feel trapped at home because every time we go out I think of all the germs they can get. We carry hand sanitizer like crazy. The hardest one is church! It's like people think they can't miss church if they're sick so they come and pass it to everyone else (imagine the germs on the sacrament trays). With 2 kids in nursery, there are times when I prefer to just go home than fight another cold all week...

As for clean-up, I use sanitizer wipes, and lysol spray. My mom always used lysol (liquid). Good luck! Unfortunately, the stomach flu is so contagious, it's a plague to try and get rid of.

By the way, the flu shot doesn't immune your body from the stomach flu, that's a totally different bug :(

I think when most women become moms they develop OCD. I'm the same way as everyone else who has commented and you. When I was single I never once felt sick to my stomach when touching a cart at the store and all the other places.

I'm so sorry your boys are sick and you have to clean up all that barf, I haaaaaaaaate that too!

Hope you guys get to feeling better!
