OUR EVE

Tonight was the big night in our house...we celebrated Christmas Eve. We are flying out to Vegas on Tuesday to spend Christmas with all the Payzants (yay! Can hardly wait) so we decided to have our own little Christmas before hand. Sunday seemed like the perfect day to do so. Luckily, Santa was willing to work with us.
For our dinner we had...chicken cordon bleu, twice baked potatoes, shrimp cocktail, salad, and cherry 7up. We put on our finest clothes and ate by candlelight. It was lovely.
Brampton being a bad example to Cardston. He even managed to catch his hair on fire!
And then we read from Luke 2...sang some songs...and the Little People put on a program for us. Very entertaining and kid friendly.

Afterwards, we put out a yummy plate of cookies and milk for Santa. The boys got their fun Christmas jammies on...did a breathing treatment on Brampton...and we read Bear Stays Up for Christmas (a fav around here). We can hardly wait until morning to see if Santa really comes early!!!

How fun! I remember when we used to do that before going to visit family. At that point, the kids never knew it was Dec. 17th and not the 25th, right??

Sounds like a really nice "eve" you had as a family. You'll have to post your chicken cordon bleu recipe. I've yet to find a good one that turns out well! Have a safe trip to Vegas and have a good Christmas!

That really made me chuckle! Sounds familiar, I guess. I got a link to your blog from other old Wymount blogs...fun way to keep up. You guys look like you're doing great. Sister and Bishop Nelson emailed me and wanted to know if I had your address. Do you want to email that to me at mdawnclarke@gmail.com? Her request is helping me do what I've been needing to do...be better at keeping in touch!

How fun! what a good idea to just do it early rather than take all that extra stuff with you... I know how it goes having kids and luggage at an airport... could you imagine all the christmas presents too...
