Inspiring...

Hope is the anticipation that the outcome will be good.
Worry is the anticipation that the outcome will be bad.
Faith is the anticipation that whatever the outcome, it will be for our good.

I found this while blogging and I wanted to post it here on our blog. I really like it! Watch out Ev...you'll be hearing this quite often! Wink.

hey steph! this concept of hope is one benn has encouraged me to think about a lot. i think it's even more powerful that we give it credit for. remember the talk President Uchtdorf gave Sat morning, if you weren't busy with the babies? it was amazing. checkt he link: http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-947-7,00.html
he said: I wish to speak today of the hope that transcends the trivial and centers on the Hope of Israel, the great hope of mankind, even our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Hope is ...the abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promise to us...It is believing and expecting that our prayers will be answered. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance.

In the language of the gospel, this hope is sure, unwavering, and active. The prophets of old speak of a “firm hope” and a “lively hope.” It is a hope glorifying God through good works. With hope comes joy and happiness.
