Hurricane Ike is going to hit about Friday night at 7 pm at a category 3 (125 mph). They just announced that there is a mandatory evacuation for west Galveston (Jamaica beach area) starting at 7 am tomorrow morning. That is close to where we used to live. Crazy. So glad we moved!!! Anyways, to answer questions, we are leaving in the morning.

My parents have to evacuate too! I think they already have left. My mom is nervous but a little excited.
