Who Crashed Our Party???

Happy fourth to everyone (a little late)! We had a pretty fun day (or should I say days). It was nice to have Evan home one extra day! Thursday, I totally spaced the fact that it was really Friday night for us. We celebrated by having movie night! We love chillin' and watching a movie. Brampton always gets excited b/c that means...staying up a little later...bringing all the pillows into the living room...cuddlin' close to dad. Friday morning I had a hair appointment. Ev was kind enough to watch the kiddos. It was a fun outing for me...kidless. I felt bad for Ev though. I could tell that it had been a little rough. The look he gave when I walked in the door was priceless. Thanks Ev!!
We enjoyed a fun BBQ with some of our friends here in the ward...gotta love summer bbqs. Especially on July 4!!! Brampton was able to play with two of his friends while us grownups played some Wii. And then the best time of all...watching the fireworks. We headed to the seawall to watch the fireworks at the beach. It was pretty neat. Our day had been complete. We sure were tired by that time...we were ready for bed! That's exactly what we did...until we heard some crazy car pull into our parking lot at about 1:30 am. We weren't really sure what was going on...we just heard a car driving fast...screeching tires...and a crash....followed by screeching tires....and the car raced off. I was in a deep sleep but came to. I shot out of bed...asked Ev if he heard it all. We peeked out our window and wondered what on earth had happened. We couldn't really see anything going on. Ev said he saw some people standing in the parking lot near our car. We didn't really think much of it and went back to bed. Come Saturday morning...I was looking out our window and saw a note on the car. I then remembered what had happened during the night. Oh no!! You have got to be kidding. What are the chances? I told Ev and he headed down to check it out. Sure enough. The drunk punk (yes...I am making assumptions) had hit our car. Ev and I were both devastated. The bad thing...the note was just from some witnesses and not the punk. Why can't all people be honest and responsible for their actions???
Brampton giving his brother some rough loves.
Our family watching the fireworks at the beach.
All worn out from too much fun!

The poor car!! See the tire marks??
All in all we had a great weekend. We had fun...we played...laughed...and enjoyed being together. What more could you ask for?

Oh man. We had that happen in Provo while we were out of town. Luckily the kid (16 yrs old) was mature enought to leave a number and we got it all worked out. But yeah, wouldn't that be nice if everyone was responsible?? I bet he was drunk!!

Glad you guys had fun anyway. I bet you were so worn out. As little as newborns are, they are so much work! I'm jealous about watching fireworks on the beach. I would LOVE to do that someday!!

Oh, that sucks, I'm so sorry! But sounds like you had fun other than that. Fireworks on the beach, oh how fun! Wish we were there!

it's so frustrating to have anonymous damage to your car...sometimes it's covered by insurance (uninsured motorist sorts of thing), you guys might look into that.

(no less than THREE times I had rocks thrown through the front or back windshields of family cars in Salt Lake City, and I think we got it covered once or twice)

What a crazy "drunk"! That is the nuttiest thing I think I have ever heard of! Other than the hit and run your weekend sounded really fun! Your family is so cute!

Your baby is growing way too fast! :) Your kids are so cute! I'm glad more damage wasn't done to your car, but that still is a huge bummer. I believe that what comes around goes around. he or she will get theirs. ha ha. Any way, thanks for the blog help. I'm still learning, but it's slowly getting better. I can't figure out the header thing. any help or hints? Hope you have a good rest of the week! Chat later!

Sorry about your car. Yes, it would be nice if all people would be responsible and report any damage they've done to your property! Hit and run is the pits!!! Glad you had fun anyway! Love your pictures! Keep taking them and posting them! Love you, Carla
