It's inevitable...

When it rains, it pours! Actually I am laughing as I type this...what more could go wrong? Our family has really been hit hard lately...or maybe it's just me. I guess as the "mom" I feel like I have to keep us all together and on track (you know what I mean??). But we are doing great...life seems as though it might start to finally calm down after today. Knock on wood! This morning we woke up to this....

wet carpet! Yep...our water heater started to leak. Soaking wet carpet. Brampton thought it was fun to jump and splash around in it. Yuck. It took them all day to change it out. We are still left with a hallway full of water. Hopefully maintenance comes back with a wet vac!
I spent about 2 hours trying to get my sewing machine to work. Talk about frustrating. I am not one to just give up...especially when it comes to getting some of my projects done. Thankfully....I figured it all out. Feel free to come over anytime Cassidy.
After two days of a sore throat...I woke up to a serious sinus headache. I finally popped one of these bad boys at lunch. Still not feeling well.
After all this, I decided to treat myself to one of these. Mmmm...yummy. I figured I deserve it. At least I made a straws day! Have you seen that advertisement? Creative. Go Sonic.
But...one of the best parts about today...the pretty flower my husband gave me along with a sweet love letter. I love you Evan. Thanks for being so strong! You continue to amaze me each day.

To begin with, I'm so sorry. You are certainly a strong person, with all that going on I'd probably have a melt down. But I couldn't help but laugh as I was reading. You just wrote the post in a funny way! Probably because of your attitude. Again I am sorry you guys are going through all that. And way to go Evan what a stud!!!

It's sounds like not the best day, but at least you have a positive attitude about it all and such a cute husband to give you a little extra boost! You should keep him around! :)

Good grief - you are so right. Living in Texas has made me appreciate that analogy so much more; when it rains here, it really does pour! But hooray for awesome husbands and Sonic, speaking of which a nice cherry limeade sounds really good right now...

By the way, thanks for posting that lizard video. I feel like I'm on the National Geographic website every other day looking up videos of various animals or natural disasters to answer a question for Ben. He'll love the lizard video.
