Update on our heat

As you all may know we have been without a/c for the past 4 days!!! Evan finally put his foot down today. He went to the office first thing this morning with a written complaint. They told us someone would come within a couple minutes. No one came. He called and reminded them about the problem. Same answer. This happened about 5 more times. We were really fed up. Today, it reached the high 90's. With the heat index it felt like 103. Well...our apartment was hotter than it was outside! That is HOT. The stinky thing was that we had to wait in the apartment for the guy to come fix it. So we were stuck. Brampton and I left Evan for a little bit to get cooled off. At about 12:30 pm, the maintenance guy came and tried to take a look at it. Still no working a/c. Evan and I decided we had enough. Brampton was hot, tired, bored, overheated and screaming. Makes a bad combination!!! Poor kid was as red as a cherry and had wet hair. Not fun. We went and had Dippin' Dots (my fav) and walked around Walmart. Brampton fell asleep while we were there. We finally went back home...not really wanting to be in the heat. We were greeted by the maintenance guy saying that he was going to replace it w/a brand new system tomorrow morning. So...just one more night. For now, here are some fun photos.

Brampton and dad trying to lay low in the heat. Brampton looks happy. I'm not so sure about that look on Evan's face.

This is the new chair we got while walking around Walmart today. Our ward is actually having a beach activity on Friday and we need some chairs to sit on. Brampton was thrilled when he saw it after his nap! It's funny...he knew exactly what it was when he saw it.

This was actually taken on Sunday...but I thought I would post it. We were trying to organize stuff and Brampton found this little "curious spot"(Stout family term). He thought it was fun having us shut the glass door and trapping him inside.

We're hoping for a much better day tomorrow!!! Cross your fingers. I'll let you know how it all goes about. It seems like we have been hit with so many different trials since we moved. What's next?? :) For now, I am going to enjoy some shut eye (hopefully) and worry about that later.

Oh my gosh, aren't you dying??? We just spend 3 days and 3 night without a/c and it was horrible! I know exactly what you're going through (except I think it's hotter there!). We had ceiling fans in every room and we each had a small fan in addition to that. That's the only way we survived. I can't believe they haven't come to fix it sooner--I mean, really fix it!!!! So frustrating! And doesn't it break your heart to see little bramptom so wet? Kathryn wouldn't let me put her hair up so it was always drenched, gross. I hope it gets fixed quickly this morning!!!!
