That sign is so cool! It reads...Free ride in a police car if you shoplift from this store.I thought I would share a bit about Galveston...being that not too many people seem to know much about it. Yes, it's an island off the coast of Texas. It's 32 miles long and 2 1/2 miles wide. It is about 40 minutes from the 4th largest city in the United States-Houston. Some of it's attractions are: harbor tours offering dolphin watching; Lone Star Flight Museum; Moody Gardens (coolest place ever) featuring a 1.5 million-gallon aquarium pyramid, a 3-D IMAX theater, tropical rainforest pyramid, and an IMAX Ridefilm Theater; and the new year-round Schlitterbahn Waterpark (super cool!!) Oh...and there are several cruise lines that take off from here too. That is just some of the fun stuff to do...there so much more! Now...if that is not enough to make you want to come and visit us you'll be missing out!!
Check it out if you want... http://www.galveston.com/
Oh...and some of the places I am excited about (I was a little worried that it wouldn't have some of the necessities-in no particular order)...Walmart, Target, Ross, Marshalls, Payless, Big Lots, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, Wendy's, Rainforest Cafe, Home Depot, Sonic, Chili's, Pier 1 Imports, Bank of America, Dollar Store, and much more. And yes, we have our own chapel on the island. There is one ward and a Spanish branch. We saw the Chapel and it is nice and a pretty big size. We are thankful for that and look forward to many opportunities to serve and do missionary work.
